Joseph Taussig, Chairman

Joseph has founded, co-founded, and/or advised on more than 50 startup insurers, reinsurers, banks, broker dealers, and businesses that support them. He is the controlling shareholder of Taussig Capital Holdings, which owns Taussig Capital, the project manager. In Viet Nam, he served as a patrol leader in 1st Force Recon (the Marine Corps’ version of the Navy SEALS) and as an infantry company commander in Hue City during the Tet Offensive. He holds Series 24, 27, 7, 4 and 63 registrations with FINRA, has a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, and an MBA from Harvard.

Ivy League undergraduate degree. Law degree from a top 5 law school according to U.S. News and World Report. MBA from a top 10 business school according to Fortune Magazine. Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Named a partner in a major Wall St. law firm. 12 years in structured credit with 3 bulge bracket firms. Took over a bank with two partners that had less than $3 million of equity capital and less than $25 million of assets and they built it into a $4 billion bank in a little over 10 years. He is still employed there and does not want to be identified, give notice, and/or leave until Jurrissa has at least $10 million of equity capital.

Ken McCord, Non-Executive Director

Ken is CEO and co-founder of Red Jacket Capital Inc. and is personally registered with the OSC as a Portfolio Manager. He specializes in alternative investment products and strategies. Ken is a seasoned investment executive with over 30 years of experience in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. Prior to Red Jacket, Ken assumed several executives and entrepreneurial roles in the investment industry. He was President and Portfolio Manager of KFL Capital Management, a hedge fund management company with expertise in big data, machine learning, and predictive modeling. Prior to that, Ken was the President of Horizons ETFs, one of Canada’s leading providers of exchange-traded funds, where he helped to create and build its actively managed line of ETFs. Ken has also held senior roles with First Asset Management, Invesco Canada, and TD Asset Management. He is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo (BA) and of Queen's University in Kingston (MBA). Ken also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
